This basic course will focus on the fundamental ethical issues facing the paralegal profession.  There will be an overview of the unauthorized practice of law, confidentiality, attorney-client privilege, and the application of ethics rules to technological advances such as cell phones, e-mail, websites, and research on the Internet.  The NALA Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility and the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct, as well as recent case law and ethical opinions, will be employed as basic references.

What past participants have said:

Very thorough, and presented in plain-English, which really helped get the points across.
