This two hour course provides participants with a basic introduction and overview of employment discrimination.  This course covers topics including: the administrative processes, information on federal EEO laws, the theories of discrimination, statutory defenses, mediation programs, investigation techniques, remedies available, and record keeping requirements. 

Cheryl Snider, ACP, has been employed as a paralegal in the employment/labor areas of law for more than 25 years.  She works at Bowling Green State University. Her Bachelor degree is from the University of Toledo.  She became a member of NALA and earned her CLA in 1998. She has specialty designations in Civil Litigation and Contract Administration/Contract Management.  Cheryl has been a member of the Paralegal Association of Northwest Ohio since 1989.  She has served on many PANO committees during her career and contributed many articles to NALA’s quarterly publication Facts and Findings.  Cheryl served as Chair and was a member of NALA’s Certifying Board.  She currently is serving on the NALA Board of Directors as Region V Director.
